HR RoboCon is a FREE student lead and student-organized robotics competition for Sixth Form and second-year GCSE students. It challenges teams to construct and program a fully autonomous robot to compete against other Cambridge based teams.
The competition officially was officially launched on Saturday the 25th November 2017 at Hills Road Sixth Form College. Teams will have five months to construct and program their robot for the competition on April 14th-15th 2018.
Easily! Simply gather a group of interested students (unlimited size) that are in year 11, 12 or 13, along with a responsible adult to supervise, and then click here to register the team.If you would like more information about any aspect of the competition please contact us at dmassey@hillsroad.ac.uk or info@hr-robocon.org .
We fully understand that creating a robot is not easy as it sounds! Hence we have included plenty of documentation to guide teams. Should that not be enough, we have created a Q&A forum for the competition, where you can ask questions and hopefully have someone answer them. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to collaborate with a team to produce an autonomous robot. It will help to develop a large variety of skills including communication, team building, programming and construction.
You need no prior skills to enjoy this competition. The challenge has been specifically designed to cater to all, you will be developing skills as you work and will hopefully end up much more knowledgeable than when you started!
